Why You Should Not Use Two Sittings Result For JAMB 2019

I know alot of aspirants are about to use two sittings for JAMB 2019 registration, I am not writing this blog post to discourage you. I just want to enlighten you on why you should not use two sittings result.
If you are first timer of writing JAMB exam, you might not know what i meant by "Two sittings result ", i will explain before going into why i think two sitting results are not advisable.

Two sitting result is like combining two results of different exams because you probably didn't have good grade in the subject you need. For example, Ade wrote WAEC in 2015 and he failed Mathematics which is a compulsory subject, then he will have to re-sit for another o'level exam (WAEC, NECO,GCE) , if he then fail English Language but pass Mathematics , then he will combine both of them together . As simple as that!!!
Now going into the reasons why two sittings is not advisable;

This is the plain truth, you won't be able to apply for competitive courses like medicine, law, engineering and so on. Apart from the number of candidates that usually choose the course, the school you choosed might also reject two sittings for such courses. For example, In UI, you can't apply for medicine with two sittings result, your admission will be terminated during the clearance immediately they know you are using two sittings result.

You know top universities like UNILAG, UI, OAU, it might be a little difficult to apply and finally gain admission into them because of the high number of candidates that usually choose them.

As you should know that a candidate with one sitting result can choose any school or course, such opportunity is not available for those with two sittings result. At this point , JAMB Brochures should be your best friend because it will show you the schools and courses you can apply for.

You can kindly register for the ongoing WAEC registration and read hard to pass all required subjects.
But if you cant afford to register again, you can go on to apply because alot of candidates have been admitted despite using two sittings result, you should just make sure you check the JAMB brochures very well before you select any school or course.

Pelosi says Trump's wall is "imaginary" but her "bills are real"

Pelosi defended throwing a wrench into an invitation to the president to deliver the State of the Union during a press conference on Capitol Hill Thursday, saying the financial factors were real.
“This is directly related to our security,” Pelosi said in a press conference on the 27th day of the lapse in appropriations. “Trump's wall is imaginary but my bills are real.”
“The date of the State of the Union is not a sacred day. That's not constitutionally required. It's not any president’s birthday,” Pelosi said. “It is a date that we agree to. It could have been the week later and it could be the week later it's government is open.”
Asked whether she is trying to deny the president of a platform to make the case for his wall by urging Trump to delay the address until after government is reopened, Pelosi focused on workers who have been denied paychecks.
“Let's get a date when government is open. Let's pay the employees,” Pelosi continued. “He thinks it is okay not to pay people who do work. I don't. My caucus doesn't either.”

Here Is The Liver Disease That Millions Of People Don’t Know They Have

As much as 160 million people worldwide live with a scary liver disease right at this moment with a significant percentage not even aware that they have it.
People with type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance, and obesity have a higher risk of developing this liver disease but it is difficult to find and even tougher to treat. Unfortunately, a lot of people have never even heard of it.
This relatively unknown liver disease is known as nonalcoholic steatohepatitis, or NASH for short, and it’s a type of fatty liver disease that’s every bit as nasty as the version alcoholics suffer from. While having a liver lined with fat is distressingly common, it is estimated that this disease affects about 64 million Americans. In most people the fat buildup doesn’t trigger life-threatening health troubles.
With NASH sufferers, however, the liver becomes inflamed, which can lead to the permanent scarring known as cirrhosis and an increased risk for liver cancer. Some experts believe NASH will surpass hepatitis infections as the biggest reason for liver transplants by 2020.
The big question is why have doctors and patients ignored this dangerous disease for so long? It’s because they didn’t see it. Symptoms are scarcely seen in patients with early stages of NASH. To test for it, a liver biopsy is required and this involves removing cells from your liver using a small needle.
Even then, it might be too late; the disease often leads to problems like liver failure, and no treatments currently exist.
There’s however good news. You can prevent NASH right now by losing weight and maintaining a healthy weight and diet. Plus, doctors and pharmaceutical companies are pounding the pavement to develop a treatment. They currently have a test drug in the works, with an expected approval date in 2019.
If you’re a diabetic who needs to lose weight, you may have a higher risk for NASH, so do all you can to adjust your diet.

ONNOGHEN: Niger Delta militants issue threats, warn Yorubas, Hausas

The current travail of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen, appears to have woken the Niger Delta militants.
The Coalition of Niger Delta Agitators on Sunday vowed to resume attacks on oil wells in the region should the federal government go ahead with the trial of Onnoghen over alleged asset declaration offence.
The CJN is slated to be arraigned today (Monday) before the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) over the alleged offence.
The coalition of militants, said in a statement that they were stunned with the development and argued that Onnoghen was being persecuted because he was from the Niger Delta.
According to the militant groups, the petition against Onnoghen was plotted by the Presidency to forcefully push him out as the CJN and replace him with a northerner.
The groups’ statement was signed by John Duku of the Niger Delta Watchdogs and Convener, Coalition of Niger Delta Agitators; Ekpo Ekpo of the Niger Delta Volunteers; Simply Benjamin (Bakassi Strike Force); Osarolor Nedam (Niger Delta Warriors); Henry Okon Etete (Niger Delta Peoples Fighters); and Asukwo Henshaw (Bakassi Freedom Fighters.
They said, “In the first instance, President Muhammadu Buhari was not disposed to Justice Onnoghen’s appointment to this position, which was why he refused to confirm the appointment after so many months of serving in an acting capacity. It was during the period of his sickness while in Britain that the (then) acting President – Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, confirmed the appointment.
“We wish to also recall that in August last year, Mr Matthew Seiyefa of Bayelsa State, who was the most senior and most qualified officer at the time was appointed to the position of acting Director-General of the Department of State Services by Prof. Osinbajo, only to be replaced with a retired and junior officer to Seiyefa, Mr Yusuf Bichi, by President Buhari as soon as he resumed duties.
“We hereby vehemently resist any attempt to remove the CJN from office. We, therefore, want to state categorically that if the Presidency failed to reverse its harassment against the CJN, we will have no other option but to mobilise all the Niger Delta fighters and commence serious actions that would shake the country and the whole world.

“We shall shut down all the oil wells in the Niger Delta. We call on all the northerners and Yoruba who own oil wells in the Niger Delta to prepare to vacate immediately.
“We also want to warn our Niger Delta brothers, who are working for Buhari to watch their back and know that we are watching them and their family members. We warn them to stop campaigning for Buhari in the Niger Delta,” the statement read.

2019: Atiku blasts EFCC, tells National Assembly what to do to Buhari for reportedly acquiring Keystone, Etisalat

The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has berated the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Atiku’s anger came down on anti-graft agency for “failing to investigate how Alhaji Isa Funtua, a close ally of President Muhammadu Buhari, acquired Keystone Bank and 9Mobile (formerly known Etisalat).”
The former Vice President in a statement by his Special Assistant on Public Communications, Phrank Shaibu, pointed out that “the EFCC has failed to investigate the acquisition of the bank and telecommunications company because of Alhaji Funtua’s closeness to President Buhari.”
The statement said, “It is not surprising that the EFCC has suddenly become prostrate and bluntly refused to investigate the acquisition of Keystone Bank and 9Mobile, which have been widely adjudged to be fraudulent, if not out rightly criminal.
“The EFCC, like many other agencies under the administration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led Federal Government has once again displayed partisanship.
“More importantly, the said Isa Funtua has been known to be a major player in the Presidency whose influence and reach has been less than salutary.
“A recent picture showing the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Dr Godwin Emefiele bowing to Alhaji Funtua which recently went viral is proof enough of the stature of the President’s ally. The EFCC’s refusal to act therefore follows a familiar narrative”, he stated.

Atiku continued, “While we hold on to the piece of evidence that we have, it is no longer in doubt that underhand dealings took place in the acquisition of Keystone Bank and 9Mobile.
“The roles played by the Asset Management Company of Nigeria (AMCON) and the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), both agencies of government have been widely reported and not controverted. The days of playing the ostrich by the Presidency are over. No more hiding for them”, he added.
He referred the presidency to trending online reports which, according to him, “detailed how Alhaji Funtua reportedly bought over the bank and telecom outfit with funds provided by AMCON, whose Chief Executive Officer is a son in-law to the President’s friend.
“Considering that the EFCC and other related agencies would not act as a result of partisanship to the ruling APC, the only hope at this stage is the National Assembly which we urge should take up the gauntlet.
“The National Assembly as representatives of the people is the last hope. We cannot allow the looting and criminal acquisition of our collective patrimony.
“They plan to steal more if President Buhari wins a second term. The National Assembly and Nigerians must not allow them take away legacies we ought to bequeath to generations unborn. We must rally against nepotistic rule and entrenchment of parochial cleavages as we have witnessed under the APC.”

Atiku vs Buhari: Tuface advises Nigerian youth ahead of 2019 Presidency

Legendary musician, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as Tuface has called on Nigerian youths to be actively involved in the conduct of the 2019 presidential election.
Tuface asked the youths to shun vote buying during the elections and avoid selling their future to leaders who had false agenda for the nation.
According to him, “Youths say no to politicians who offer you money to perpetuate violence or sell your votes. When two elephants fight, it is the grass that suffers.”
The ‘Amaka’ crooner made the call on Wednesday during a gathering of youth organizations at the 2019 General Elections’ National Peace Conference in Abuja.
Tuface said, “Before the elections, you must constructively participate in the electoral process.
“Say no to politicians who offer you money to perpetuate violence or sell your votes.
“When two elephants fight, it is the grass that suffers. Every young person has a bright future ahead of them and should not allow anyone take that away from them in the name of politics or elections.
“Do not sell your votes. Selling your votes is selling your future”.
The major contention for power in 2019 Presidency is between presidential candidate of the All Progressives Presidential,APC, President Muhammadu Buhari and Atiku Abubakar of Peoples Democratic Party,PDP.
